The two buildings have main heating and hot water 24 hours a day, during the summer and the winter, while the stone-facing and the roof weathering establish the warm of the internal area even in the coldest weather. And if this isn't enough, then the multi-room of the hostel, furnished with local wood, in the one end of which a big fireplace is built will warm even the most demanding customers.

The wide, communal, semi-internal veranda, which is also an expansion of the internal hall, remains warm in the days of the winter and ventilated during the summer and affords a magnificent, breathtaking view of the mountains that surrounds the village of Samarina such as the Vasilitsa mountain and the great "Valia Cirna" valley (which has the meaning of "Daemon's Canyon").

In the mourning hours, before the excursions begun or once the early ones have finished, the visitors have the opportunity to enjoy the plenty traditional breakfast with home-made jams, fresh bread, tasteful sweets and cookies, and hand-made pies, all of them prepared and served by the house lady, Mrs. Papageorgiou.
